Discover our story
Tamar Valley Vineyard has been established on the Devon slopes of the river Tamar looking across to the rolling farmland of Cornwall and along the length of the Tamar river. The Vineyard feels both remote and secret… Our family have owned this land on the Bere Peninsular since 1958. Grandfather Leo was a builder by profession. He bought this plot and turned his hand to market gardening for a while, but in his heart, he always wanted a vineyard…
We planted our first grapes in 2016, had our first harvest in 2019 and our on-site winery will be up and running in 2021. We will be offering tours, tastings and events along with tranquillity and outstanding views of the valley. Check our website for opening times and activities.
